Agriculture CTE program is only present at one public charter school in the city (Green Street Academy). In the last 5 years, Ag CTE has been "phased out" or "sunsetted" in two schools.

Our CTE programs in BCPSS are already struggling to meet student needs and demands. 1) How do we support our youth needs while implementing this new program? 2) Staff are either not specialized or overloaded with unrelated work requirements.

Training programs (a diverse number of them) already exist for many sectors with grassroot organizations in the city. No need to replicate, just support them and fund them. Use the office of sustainability, etc., to find those organizations.
